The USC Head Sailing Coach is also the Executive Director of the Pacific Coast Sailing Foundation and the United States Sailing Center, Long Beach where the Trojans train. Along with being the home of the USC Varsity Sailing Team, the Center is also the host for a number of different sailing programs and races for US SAILING, SCYYRA, ICSA, ISSA, PCISA and PCIYRA

April 23-24, 2005

REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:

Saturday: 10 races were sailed in each division in 6-14 knots. The breeze came in early from the south and built till midday also bringing intermittent rain. Thanks to all of the Conn Sailors who volunteered, and especially to Matt Parker 04 and Suzi Duncan 03 for judging and assistance.

USC Sailing Team Wins PCC Championships - Advances to Team Nationals

36 Race Double Round Robin and Single Final Four

First Race at 11:15 am in about 8 knots from the Southwest building to near 15 from the West finishing about 6pm. Great racing!!

Thanks to a super group of Umpires Bryan Mcdonald (Chief Umpire), Don Becker, Grant Baldwin, Margaret Caddle, Glenn Oliver and Kirk Brown.

Also thanks to Race Committee support from Don Zinn & Rich Richards as well as the USC Sailing Team.

Congratulations to USC and Hawaii on Qualifying for NA's.

USC 12 Wins - 1 Loss

Hawaii 8 Wins - 5 Losses (Hawaii wins the tie by
beating Stanford in 2 or their 3 meetings)

Stanford 8 Wins - 5 Losses

UC Irvine 5 Wins - 8 Losses

UC Santa Barbara 3 Wins - 7 Losses

UC Berkeley 0 Wins - 10 Losses
