President's Message
It's great to be a Trojan!
USC Olympians are collecting so many medals I can't keep track of them all! All I know is that the streak is still alive. Trojan athletes have won at least one gold medal in every Olympics since 1912!
Football season is here! How do I know? Pete Arbogast came to town to help whip the faithful into a frenzy! Does he think we'll win them all? No. Will we be favored in EVERY game? Yes! If they continue to play like Trojans we could be in for another great year!
The Women of Troy Soccer team opened their NCAA championship defense against USD, sans their gold winning star Amy Rodriguez. No worries, they still prevailed 1-0 and on behalf of the Club I was privileged to give Coach Ali and the team our $1000 donation which we give to all USC teams visiting San Diego.
Come out next weekend, August 30, and join your fellow Trojans for the USC @ UVA game. Kick-off is 12:30 p.m. PDT and we'll be hosting viewing parties at the PB Bar & Grill in Pacific Beach, the Del Mar Marriott at I-5 and Carmel Valley Road, and at the Bullpen in Encinitas at Encinitas Blvd and El Camino Real. Get off the couch and join us! Complete addresses are on the homepage.
The next football luncheon is September 12 featuring USC all-american Duane Bickett. And, finally, don't forget the famous TCSD buses to the Coliseum for all the home games.
